Our Current Show: Summers at Seabreeze
"'Summers at Seabreeze' feels particularly timely, even as its focus is on the past. It's a reminder that, no matter what those filled with hate may think, the history of the African-American community has a value, and a beauty, that can't be taken away and won't ever be forgotten."
~John Staton, Wilmington Star-News.
"Perhaps the best show TheatreNOW has hosted to date in its two-year infancy, “Summers at Seabreeze” is thoughtful, funny, reverent, and educational. It features an all-African American cast of upcoming and veteran talent worthy of much applause. While every performance has its strengths, the storytelling nature really grounds the show. Audiences aren’t merely talked through an important timeline of local history, the history comes to life before their eyes." ~Shea Carver, encore magazine.

$5000 Raised for Local Charities.
So excited to announce that TheatreNOW has helped raise over $1800 for Wilmington's Interfaith Network and over $3000 for the Arts Council of Wilmington. These charities were the choice charities for the local authors who chose to donate their time and talents to their causes. Celia Rivenbark (Rude Bitches Make Me Tired) will be presenting a check to Wilmington Interfaith Network on behalf of TheatreNOW's patrons and Clyde Edgerton's two receptions at the dinner show, Raney, and sales of his artwork raised more than $3000 for Arts Council of Wilmington and New Hanover County. Thank you to everyone who attended those two very special nights!!!
